Project Overview

To comprehensively improve ironmaking efficiency and production safety, a large iron and steel enterprise in Guizhou decided to fully upgrade its original blast furnace coal injection system. After rigorous screening of technical proposals from multiple mill manufacturers, the enterprise finally selected Guilin Mining Machinery and adopted the GKLM vertical roller mill system with multiple explosion-proof designs. Integrating drying, grinding and multi explosion-proof dust collection technologies, the system fully meets the project construction objectives.

Project Details

Blended bituminous coal and anthracite materials are hermetically conveyed to the GKLM vertical roller mill for grinding through an enclosed constant feeder. Hot air efficiently dries the moist raw coal during grinding to ensure the moisture of finished coal powder meets standards. The dried and ground coal powder rises with airflow to the classifier at the top of the mill for separation. Unqualified coarse powder falls back to the grinding table for regrinding, while qualified fine powder (200 mesh) flows with airflow into the explosion-proof pulse baghouse.

Designed specifically for coal powder characteristics, this dust collector is equipped with anti-static filter bags, explosion venting valves, nitrogen protection and other multiple explosion-proof measures to guarantee safety and reliability during coal powder collection. The collected coal powder is discharged through a rotary discharge valve and hermetically conveyed into the finished coal powder silo by a screw conveyor for subsequent injection.
